Want to announce your live show a few days in advance? Let's check how to do it in the Be.Live studio!
Note, If you want to stream a scheduled show with Be.Live it has to be scheduled in your Be.Live studio as well. At this point it's not possible to link it to a show that was already scheduled directly on YouTube.

First things first, let's make sure your YouTube account is verified. It will take you a few clicks, simply go to youtube.com/verify, you can also check our guide for help.
Note, the verification process usually takes up to 24 hours.

STEP 1. As always, open Chrome or Safari browser on your computer and go to https://be.live/ . Now click Start Broadcasting (you may need to create your Be.Live account first). 

STEP 2. Click Set destination > Select destination > YouTube

Once you press on Youtube, you will choose Google Account to connect with Be.Live.
You can go live either to your Personal or Branded Channel.

Then click Allow to give Be.Live permissions to the Google account (No worries, Be.Live WILL NOT post without your permission). 

This is a standard agreement for YouTube/Google when giving permission to a third party app. It only means that you will have access to your YouTube channel and be able to create/edit shows, access comments and delete your shows directly from your Be.Live account. 

STEP 3. Now click on the "Schedule" button near YouTube. Once you do that, please, fill all the needed details :set time, upload cover image, add title and description for your broadcast, select stream Privacy level. The optimal ratio for images used in scheduled broadcast posts is 16:9, e.g. 1280x720 and doesn't exceed 3 mb, make sure the file's name is written in Latin letters and doesn't contain symbols. 

STEP 4. Don't forget to click SAVE to actually schedule your broadcast! You can check what it looks like on YouTube by clicking on the broadcast title in the studio (it will redirect you to this post on YouTube).

HOW TO EDIT YOUR SCHEDULED BROADCAST

IMPORTANT, it is not possible to edit destination of the broadcast after you clicked SAVE, but you can edit time, title, description and cover picture, as well as the privacy level.
You can access your scheduled broadcasts by going to the studio, selecting YouTube and clicking "Schedule", then select the needed one under "Scheduled streams" as shown in the picture below. This way you can also edit the time, title and description and hit SAVE.

HOW TO ADD/CHANGE THUMBNAIL ON YOUTUBE

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left menu, select Videos.
  3. Hover over the video you'd like to update. To see your live uploads, select the Live tab.
  4. Select a video by clicking on its title or thumbnail.
  5. Choose an auto-generated thumbnail and select Save.

HOW TO START YOUR SCHEDULED BROADCAST

When you are ready to go live you can quickly open a scheduled broadcast, please go in your BeLive account: be.live > My profile > My broadcasts and click on Open Broadcast Studio 

Once you are in the studio Connect your Camera, Click "Show in Stream" to move it to the streaming area and click the "Start" button.
